Lion Neena Dutta

Lion MJF Dr. Neena Dutta was brought up in Mumbai. She did her schooling and graduation in Science stream from Mumbai’s Sophia College and pursued and completed her Master’s degree and B.Ed from Nagaland. She is also a Montessori trained from Kolkata ASI and opened the first Montessori school in Nagaland in 1990. She was married to Late Lion P.K. Dutta who was also the District Governor of the entire North East in the Lionistic Year 2008-2009. They are blessed with two sons, one daughter and one grandson.

As a lion she was the 1st Lady to be an Active Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson in the undivided District. She has been District Chairperson Peace Poster two times. She was appointed thrice as the Editor of Eastern Lion, she was also the 1st Lady Cabinet Secretary. She was also elected as DC Women Membership & Participation, GST Coordinator Cluster-1, DC International Relation, DC Lions Quest (twice) and GMT District Coordinator-1.

Lion Dr. Neena Dutta had formed the world’s largest Alpha Leo Club with 1033 Leo members in St. Mary’s Hr. Sec. School in the year 2018-2019. She opened new Club viz., Lions Club of Dimapur Japfu, charted on 23rd October 2019, Lions Club of Akuluto Zunheboto, charted on 13th February 2022 & Lions Club of Bokajan, charted on 29th September 2023.

She also received 5 Presidential Award, received Women Achiever award 2018-2019. She also received Hero Medal 2019-20 for her outstanding support to the District. Lions Quest Gold Award 2021-22, Lions Quest Champion Award 2022-23, District Women Achiever Award 2022-23. Lion Dr. Neena Dutta received Leadership Award from the International President Dr. Patti Hill for outstanding service to Lions International and Mission 1.5 and many more.

She is also an active social worker who extends a helping hand to lots of organisations like Bengali Samaj, Kalibari, ISKCON. She is also the advisor of Amra Kajon (a socio cultural group). She extends her social service to Ramakrishna society, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation, she was also the executive board member of KVS. She launched AAHAR on 6th September 2020 under Late S.K. Dutta & Late P.K. Dutta Foundation with the Bengali Students Union and feed 150 destitutes, homeless and needy people every Sunday till date. She is also the Patron of Bharat Vikash Parishad.

She is the Principal, Founder & Proprietor of one of the best schools in Dimapur, Nagaland viz., St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School. She is the Centre Superintendent of National Testing Agency (NTA) Exam in her School. She was also the Centre Superintendent of Nagaland Board (NBSE) exam held in her School.

MJF Lion Dr. Neena Dutta is also the recipient of many prestigious awards. She achieved laurels both in life and in profession.

Dr. Manoj Shah

Dr. Manoj Shah is a Charter member of the Nairobi Greater Lions Club since 1988, Vice President Shah has held many offices within the association at Club, District and International levels. He has served as a Constitutional Area Leader of the Global Action Team – Africa and was Chairman of the Africa Lions Steering Committee which led to Africa being recognized as a separate Constitutional Area. He also served as a Trustee of the Lions Clubs International Foundation and is a Campaign 100 Lead Gift Donor and LCIF Humanitarian Partner. A passionate advocate for leadership development, Vice President Shah has served as faculty at several International Lions Leadership Institutes and facilitated leadership workshops across Africa and Asia.

He is a certified LCIP Trainer for Lions International and has led the District Governors Elect seminar as a group leader multiple times. Vice President Shah’s philanthropic endeavors have left an indelible mark on the community. He played a pivotal role in establishing Lions Service Centers in Kenya, including the Lions Renal Unit, Lions Dental Center, and Lions Hearing Center. Notably, he spearheaded the establishment of the first Lions Eye Bank in Kenya and serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Management of the Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital in Nairobi. Additionally, he has been instrumental in establishing the first two Lions Comprehensive Diabetic Care Centers in Kenya.

Dr. Manoj  Shah has received numerous accolades, including the “Elder of the Burning Spear” (EBS) Award by the President of the Republic of Kenya for his role in Nation Building, “Ambassador of Goodwill Award” by Lions International, and the prestigious “Commander to the Venerable of St. John Medal” (CStJ) from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for Community Engagement and conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Humanity. His achievements have been highlighted in his published biography titled “One in A Million.”

In addition to his Lion activities, he is active in numerous professional and community organizations.

He is currently the Chairman of the M.P. Shah Hospital, Chairman of the Automobile Association of Kenya Road Safety Council, Member of the Priory Council of St. John, Trustee of the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust, Board Member of Special Olympics Kenya and an active member of the Visa Oshwal Community. At National Level he has been appointed by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya and serves as The Chairman of The National Transport and Safety Association in Kenya.

Dr. Shah is married to Jayna, an equally dedicated member of Lions Club Nairobi Greater and are both Progressive Melvin Jones Fellows. They are proud parents to two daughters; Dr. Priyum and Lion Dr. Soyum, a resolute leader and Progressive 7 Diamond Melvin Jones Fellow and proud grandparents to two granddaughters.

Mark S. Lyon

Mark S. Lyon, from Brookfield, Connecticut, USA, was elected to serve as third vice president of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 105th International Convention, held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, from July 7 through July 11, 2023.

Vice President Lyon has worked in corporate legal administration and financial services for over 40 years. He is currently board administration manager with Synchrony Financial. As a long-time resident of Brookfield and an active volunteer in his community, church and local government, his connection with Lions was already very well established before he became a member with the Brookfield Lions Club in 1996. Since then, he has held a number of offices within the association including international director, multiple district council chairperson and multiple district GLT coordinator.

He was also appointed as a member of the LCI Forward project team, as a Global Action Team area leader, as a District Governor-Elect Seminar group leader, and as board liaison to the 2019 USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum executive committee. Vice President Lyon has also served as presenter, faculty and participant at countless training events and leadership forums throughout the years.

In recognition for his service, he has received multiple International President’s Awards and International President’s Certificates of Appreciation as well as an International President’s Leadership Award. Vice President Lyon is also a recipient of the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor the association bestows upon its members. Additionally, he has been recognized as a Connecticut Knight of the Blind and a Connecticut Ambassador of Sight, and is the recipient of a number of project and service-related certificates.

In addition to his Lions activities, Vice President Lyon is active in numerous professional and community organizations. He has served on the board of directors for the Silver Lake Conference Center and Wide Horizons for Children. He is an associate member of the American Bar Association and a past member of the Association of Legal Administrators, the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and the Shareholder Services Association.

Vice President Lyon is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow (PMJF). His wife, Carolyn Faris Lyon, is also a long-time Lion and Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow (PMJF). They are the proud parents of three incredible daughters.

Profile of First International Vice President (2024-25)

A.P. Singh

A. P. Singh, of Kolkata, India, was elected to serve as second vice president of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 105th International Convention, 7th to 11th July 2023.

Vice President Singh is a practicing chartered accountant and has family business interests in automobile dealerships.

A Lion since 1984 and a member of the Calcutta Vikas Lions Club, Vice President Singh has held many positions within the association, including district governor and council chairperson. He has served as GMT international coordinator for four years and as a member on a number of ad hoc board committees. He was chairperson for the 2017 DGE seminar in Chicago, USA, and has served as faculty at more than 50 ALLIs/RLLIs, RLLIs, FDIs and LCIP certification programs. He has also served as multi-national coordinator for Campaign SightFirst II, CA leader for Campaign 100, member of the LCIF Steering Committee and as chairperson of the National SightFirst Committee of India.

Vice President Singh has participated in and presented seminars at Area Forums in all constitutional areas. He was the co-chairperson of the Organizing Committee for the ISAAME Forum in Kolkata, India.

In recognition of his service to the association, Vice President Singh has received numerous awards, including multiple International President’s Awards, as well as the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor the association grants its members. He is a major gift donor for Campaign SightFirst II and Campaign 100, and a progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lions activities, Vice President Singh is accredited with the initiation of various service programs in collaboration with other trusts, foundations and corporate houses. He has worked on establishing a web-based Lions leadership development platform, a micro-finance program, and has organized multiple large-scale online events to keep Lions engaged.

Vice President Singh has three children.

    Fabrício Oliveira

    International President Fabrício Oliveira is a businessman, with a post-graduate degree in business management (MBA) from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and a degree in business administration. A member of the Catolé do Rocha Lions Club since 1985, International President Fabrício has held several offices in the association, among them, club president, zone chairperson, region chairperson, district governor, Multiple District LA first council of governors chairperson, and international director.

    He also has served as multiple district leadership development chairperson, having coordinated the district governors-elect seminar, multiple district SightFirst committee chair, and chair of the district Lions Foundation. International President Fabrício also served twice as District Governors-Elect Seminar group leader.

    In recognition of his service to the association he has received several awards, including the 100% Club President Award, the District Governor Excellence Medal, District Governor’s Extension Award for chartering nine Lions clubs, the District Governor’s Membership Growth Award (net 312), Service
    Award, seven Council Chairperson’s Appreciation Medals, 19 International Presidents’ Certificates of
    Appreciation, the Augustin Soliva Medal, the Paradigm Medal, nine Leadership Medals, 16 Presidential Medals, International Director Recognition Medal and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor awarded by the association to its members.

    President Fabrício has also received a Key Award for sponsoring 30 new members, an Extension Certificate for sponsoring five new Leo clubs, the Global Vision Medal for his efforts in Campaign SightFirst and the Helping Hands Award given by Lions Clubs International Foundation. He has also been recognized as a Lions International Second Century Ambassador, as well as being a Multilevel Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

    In addition to his Lion achievements, International President Fabrício participates in numerous professional and community organizations, having served as the secretary of industry and commerce of the state of Paraiba and an administration council chairperson of several companies. President Fabrício served as director of the National Confederation of Shopkeepers (CNDL), chairperson of the Federation of Chambers of Shopkeepers of the State of Paraíba (FCDL-PB), chairperson of Catolé do Rocha Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL).

    International President Fabrício and his wife, Amariles, also a member of the Catolé do Rocha Lions Club and a Melvin Jones Fellow, have two daughters, a son and a granddaughter.

Lion Lalit Kumar Kothari

Lion Lalit Kumar Kothari, MJF was born in a reputed business family of Nagaon to Late Sumermal Kothari & Smt. Shanta Devi Kothari. He is graduated in Commerce from Nowgong College and a Businessman by Profession. He is married to Lion Manju Kothari and they are blessed with one daughter & and one son. Daughter is married to a reputed family in Jaipur. Lion Lalit’s son Pulkit has joined him in his business.

He joined Lionism in the year 1994. However, he had to shift to Indore during 1997-2003 for professional obligations. In 2004 he came to Nagaon and joined Lions Club of Nagaon Greater. He has been President of Lions Club of Nagaon Greater in L.Y. 2007-08 & L.Y. 2021-22, Zone Chairperson in L.Y. 2008-09, Region Chairperson in L.Y. 2013-14, Administration, DG Secretariat in L.Y. 2019-20, DC, Peace Poster in L.Y. 2020-21, GLT — District Coordinator — Cluster II in L.Y. 2022-23. He has been an integral part of District Cabinets for 13 years and has held multiple responsible positions in the organisation.

He has excelled at Regional Lions Leadership Institute (RLLI) in 2013 and, Certified Guiding Lion Course in 2011 & 2023.

He has been awarded 100% Treasurer’s Award in the year L.Y. 2004-05, Best Secretary in L.Y. 2005-06, Club President’s Excellence Award in L.Y. 2007-08, Best Zone Chairperson L.Y. 2008-09, Lion of the Century by Lions Club of Nagaon City in L.Y. 2015-16, International President’s Certificate of Appreciation in L.Y. 2018-19 & 2019-20, International Leadership Medal L.Y. 2019-20 and has been 10 times ‘Lion of the Year’ in his club.

Lion Lalit Kr. Kothari has also been associated with other organisations. Profile of District Governor (2024-25)

Lion Th. Kesho Singh, PMJF

Lion Th Kesho Singh hails from a very respectable family of Imphal. He is the second eldest son of late Th Gambhir Singh and Mrs Th Leimaton Devi. He did his school and college education at Imphal. He completed his graduation in Agricultural Engineering from CAET, Bhubaneswar in the year 1975. He served in different capacities under Government of Manipur and retired as a Superintendent Engineer in 2014. At present, he is running his own business successfully at Imphal. He is happily married to Mrs K Bimola Devi a teacher by profession now retired from service, who is also a member of Lions Club of Imphal City. They are blessed with three sons and two daughters. Two sons are doctors, one is supporting his business, one daughter is serving as health worker and another is studying in college.

He joined lionism as Charter member and Third Vice President of Lions Club of Imphal City in the year 2009. He served as Club President in the year 2012-2013, Zone Chairperson in 2015-2016, Region in 2018-2019, Coordinator YLLI in 2018-2019, District GLT Coordinator 2019-2020, DGMT Coordinator in 2021-2022and was unanimously elected as Second Vice District Governor in the 43rd Annual District Conference of District 322D held at Jorhat on 12th and 13th March 2022. During 44th District Conference at Imphal, Lion Kesho was elected as 1st Vice District Governor and in 45th District Conference, he was unanimously elected as the District Governor for District 322D.

He was trained at RLLI, Gopalpur, Odisha in 2015 and Faculty of YLLI at Kolkata 2018. He attended 95th International Conference at Busan, Korea in 2012 and 102nd International Convention at Milan Italy in 2019, ISAAME Forum at Kolkata, Kathmandu 2013, 47th ISAMI Forum in Chennai 2019.

He has guided five Lion Clubs. He has received many awards including Club Excellence Award,Guiding Lions Award, Outstanding Zone Chairperson Award, District Governor’s Gold Medal, Best Region Chairperson of the entire Multiple District 322,three International President’s Appreciation Certificates and two International President’s Leadership Medals.

In addition,he is a patron Member of Indian Climate Congress.He is also associated with many sports organizations. He was President of YDO a senior Division Football Club, President of Imphal West Body Building and Fitness Association for a period of 10 years. At present, he is a Patron member of Indian Body Building and Fitness Federation Manipur Unit. He also a recipient of many medals in athletics at University Level.

He is a very humble and dedicated lion who enjoy working with the leaders and members of different Lion Clubs in strengthening their respective clubs and serving the community.
