Under Celebrate Community, Lions Club of Imphal, Rotary Club of Imphal & Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal conducted a Health Camp and distributed food and essential items at a Relief Camp for IDPs at Phayeng High School. This is the 11th health camp for IDPs conducted by RIMS and the team of doctors & paramedics was flagged off by the Jt. Secy, NE-Division, MoH & FW, Dy. Secy, NE-Division, MoH & FW along with the Director & Medical Superintendent, RIMS. During the medical camp, screening was done for dermatology, general medicine, ophthalmology, paediatrics, obs & gynae, orthopedics, surgery & clinical psychology. Free medicines and sanitary pads worth about Rs. 50,000.00 were given to the Camp. Food items like dal, onion, garlic, edible oil, ngari, biscuit and essential items like toothpastes, soaps, detergents worth about Rs. 30,000.00 were also handed over to the inmates of the Camp. Celebrate Community is a joint initiative of 4 international service clubs and is to be conducted annually in the week of 11-17 September.
